Located at 36 Government Wharf Rd in Eastern Passage, "What's the Scoop Takeout" has quickly garnered a reputation for being a go-to destination for delightful coastal cuisine. Many patrons rave about their lobster rolls, hailed as some of the best around. Samuel notes the exceptional and friendly service that enhances the dining experience.
Additionally, visitors appreciate the authentic East Coast charm of the establishment. Alexander Grinton describes it as a welcoming place to enjoy "greasy food" that is nothing short of dangerously delicious. The ambiance is particularly enjoyable when the tourist crowd disperses, allowing for a cozy and laid-back atmosphere.
Their fish and chips have also received commendations, with Shirley Revels remarking on the quality of both the fish and the overall vibe. Biker Mom emphasizes the consistency in cooking perfection, particularly in their fish batter, which is often a point of failure in many restaurants. The deep-fried pickles and homemade flakies are standout items that patrons insist you must try.
Overall, "What's the Scoop Takeout" not only offers delicious dishes but also embodies the essence of East Coast hospitality, making each visit a memorable culinary adventure.

Super down home East coast type place. Amazing friendly staff. More fun when the tourists are gone. Best greasy food in the area. Tried taking photo of the food but it didn't last long enough, lol. Dangerously tasty.

Always top notch service . Went in for dinner this evening. Hubby ordered his clubhouse and I had the 1 pc fish and chips and we shared an order of deep fried pickles . I’m a real stickler for my fish being properly cooked and this also means the batter too . Some places we have been to don’t cook it long enough causing the batter to be raw and gooey on the inside but not these guys , cooked to perfection everytime . The pickles omg are amazing . And the homemade flakie that I ordered I had to bring home to snack on later because the portion sizes were just perfect that there was no room for dessert . These homemade flakies though omg you need to try them . They are so much better than any of those lunch snacks we used to get as kids .

Tried the peanut butter cheesecake brownie...OMG, WOW! So good! Highly recommend trying it. The seafood platter was amazing. The battered fish was delicious and the fries were hand cut. Shrimp and scallops were yummy as well. Enjoyed the outdoor patio.
